BALANCE SOLUTIONS

My experience is that kayakers are always considering what it would be like if they could just buy one more kayak-- a little smaller or a little bigger or a little faster or one that rolls a little better-- what ever the case may be.
Your next great kayak is waiting for you...in your garage. Fine-tune your kayak for peak performance. Discover the performance you've been missing.

The Stability Solution
Whether you are a novice kayaker or an expert, you know how important the center of gravity is when
you need a little extra stability. A low center of gravity is helpful for balance and control.
Inspired by the many references on Center of Gravity, the Paddling Partner®was 6 years in the making. What's the Paddling Partner®? Imagine the little round bottom weighted toy from your childhood. You push it sideways and it immediately rebounds upright. The Paddling Partner® uses the same principle. This sense of the boat constantly trying to center itself may result in more relaxed paddling. And as a kayaker, when you're comfortable you will enhance your paddling skills.
The concept of a ballast system for boats is nothing new. The Eskimos used rounded stones for better control. Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton fought for survival in the South Atlantic Ocean with lifeboats weighted with stones.
I'd like to introduce you to the Paddling Partner®. Happy kayaking!

A Day with Derek Hutchinson…his book, “Complete Book of Sea Kayaking,” inspired me to build the Paddling Partner.
